Ukrnafta introduces cashless payments by QR code at rebranded gas stations

PJSC "Ukrnafta" implements contactless payment service NaftaGo at the company’s all rebranded filling stations. The main advantage of the service is that the customer does not need to install additional applications. Instead, the payment is made via Viber or Telegram. It is enough to scan a QR code at the column of the petrol station, to pass a short registration and to pay for the car refueling in a couple of minutes.

Payment with the card is made by means of the digital wallet Masterpass from Mastercard, which provides security of transactions. It safely stores data of different banks’ payment cards and payment systems. User can create a Masterpass wallet directly in the messenger but if he or she already has a registered digital wallet, the system will provide access to the previously added cards after confirmation.

The bank-acquirer is TASKOMBANK S.A., one of the three largest players on the e-commerce market, which actively participates in the of payment systems innovation programs, helping to develop the culture of contactless payments in the country.

"Our team is the first in Ukraine to implement payment by messenger. Now the client does not need to make unnecessary contacts with people, which is so important during the pandemic, and does not need to put heavy applications on the smartphone to refuel the car", - said Oleg Gez, Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Ukrnafta".
