The Ukrnafta JSC, as part of the Naftogaz Group, and the Shell Overseas Investments BV have finally completed the acquisition by the Ukrainian State-Owned Company of a 51% share in the Alliance Holding LLC, which owns a network of the gas filling stations under the Shell brand in Ukraine: 118 gas filling stations, as well as other property.
The remaining 49% of the company belongs to the State Property Fund of Ukraine, that is, the State is now the ultimate owner of 100% of the Alliance Holding LLC and will receive profit through the distribution of dividends.
"In general, together with the Shell gas filling stations, 663 gas filling stations will operate under the UKRNAFTA brand within a year," - said Yuriy Tkachuk, Acting Chairperson of the Management Board, JSC Ukrnafta. "– I would like to thank the Supervisory Board of the Ukrnafta for its strategic vision of the Company's development and constructive bold decisions, as well as the shareholders – the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – for supporting important initiatives. I also thank the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for promoting the course chosen by the state enterprise and the National Bank of Ukraine for the opportunity to implement this transaction. And special thanks to the State Property Fund of Ukraine, which manages the second block of shares in the Company, for a reliable partnership in the project."

The rebranding of the gas filling stations is already underway, and some of the new gas filling stations are already operating under the updated brand.
