On the night of 17–18 May 2026, Russian forces launched a cynical and targeted attack on a civilian infrastructure site — an UKRNAFTA gas station in Dnipropetrovsk region.
As a result of a strike by an Italmas-type UAV, the building and equipment at the gas station were significantly damaged.
Two company employees, Tetiana Hordiienko and Olena Skoryk, were injured. They sustained blast injuries and blast-induced concussions. Our colleagues are receiving all necessary medical assistance. Fortunately, their lives are not at risk.
“As a state-owned network, UKRNAFTA continues to operate dozens of gas stations in near-frontline regions, where access to fuel remains critically important for people, communities, emergency services and businesses. This is part of the company’s social responsibility to people and the country,” said Bogdan Kukura, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Ukrnafta”. “The safety of people is our highest priority. That is why additional protection measures are being introduced at all network sites operating near the combat zone.”
To protect staff and customers, the company is strengthening safety measures at such sites. Protective structures, staff shelters, drone detection systems and other threat-response measures are being installed at gas stations.
