Ukrnafta holds Real Production Day for IFNTUOG students

Ukrnafta has held a Real Production Day for students of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUOG).

For one day, the university campus was transformed into an open space featuring machinery and equipment used in oil and gas production.

The format of the event was simple: minimal theory, maximum hands-on practice. This helps students gain a clearer understanding of what working in the industry looks like and which skills are needed at the start of their careers.

Students spoke with Ukrnafta specialists, learned how to use personal protective equipment, found out how hydraulic fracturing operations work, and also saw how well studying is carried out.

Particular interest and excitement among the students was generated by Ukrnafta’s blowout safety service specialists and the demonstration of modern specialist equipment used in field conditions.

IFNTUOG Rector Ihor Chudyk thanked Ukrnafta for giving students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves directly in a professional working environment.

“Our students had the opportunity to speak directly with leading Ukrnafta specialists and to see modern equipment. This kind of practical experience is especially important for the professional development of future specialists. Initiatives like this help young people understand how theoretical knowledge works in practice, what the industry looks like today, and how it will develop in the future,” Ihor Chudyk said.

For Ukrnafta, such initiatives are an important investment in human capital and in the future of the industry. After all, a strong energy sector begins with well-trained people.

“The modern oil production industry is constantly evolving and therefore needs fresh ideas and new talent. We understand the importance of practical training for future specialists and are ready to share our knowledge and experience with young people. We are also pleased to help students understand the specifics of the profession and develop a passion for it. We hope that, in time, these young specialists will be able to apply their knowledge and enthusiasm for the profession with us at Ukrnafta,” said Andrii Hrudzinskyi, Head of Ukrnafta’s Oilfield Services Division.

We thank the students for their interest and active participation, and the administration of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas for its cooperation and openness to practical formats.
