Ukrnafta and the EBRD continue developing gas-to-power generation in Ukraine to support the Ukrainian Integrated Power System (UIPS)

The state-owned oil and gas production company starts the construction of a modern gas-fired combined-cycle power station.

The new CHPP will utilise combined-cycle gas and steam turbine technology with a gross electrical capacity of around 250 MW.

This project will ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity and district heating to the local community and to the UIPS – both in normal operation and in the mode of ancillary services to the power system.

Currently, in close cooperation with the EBRD, JSC “Ukrnafta” is conducting a second round of market consultations with potential manufacturers and suppliers of the necessary equipment.

All procurement activities relating to the construction of the new CHPP comply with the EBRD’s procurement policies and rules.

Information on the consultations and procurement is available via the link.

We invite reliable partners to cooperate to ensure Ukraine’s energy resilience.
