Overnight on 3 September 2026, russian forces once again attacked UKRNAFTA's production infrastructure with drones.
Enemy UAVs struck the facilities of UKRNAFTA's regional production units in the Sumy region.
"The most important thing is that, fortunately, no one was injured; the personnel were in shelter," said Bohdan Kukura, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "UKRNAFTA". "As a result of the strike, equipment was damaged and a fire broke out. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has now localised the fire, and a detailed assessment of all damages caused by the russian drone attack is underway."
russian forces are deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure that supports oil and gas production.
UKRNAFTA continues to operate, restore equipment, and supply the country with critically essential resources.
