The Ukrnafta is building a modern distributed generation: six large projects and trigeneration

Due to international financial institutions, the governments of Norway, Sweden, Germany and the constructive support of the government of Ukraine, the Ukrnafta has launched a project to build distributed electricity generation.

The Acting Director of the PJSC “Ukrnafta” Yurii Tkachuk spoke about this direction of the Company's development on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference-2025.

The Company's portfolio will amount to 420 MW of generating capacity. These are six large projects that combine gas piston and gas turbine technologies.

Also the CCHP project is in progress – Combined Cooling, Heating, and Power, electricity, heat and cold generation, or trigeneration, with a capacity of 250 MW.

"The electricity production is very important in the context of significant destruction of energy capacities by Russia. Due to the new modern generation, the Ukrnafta will be able to support the energy system of Ukraine," – Yurii Tkachuk said.

The plants will run on gas produced by the Company and will be put into operation in 2026.
