UKRNAFTA has begun installing gabion barriers around its gas stations in Kyiv, particularly along the sides facing main roads and pedestrian routes.

 

In the event of a russian drone strike on a gas station, the barriers are designed to help contain debris within the site and reduce the area affected beyond its perimeter.

 

This, in turn, will help reduce the risk to pedestrians and vehicles that may be nearby during an attack.

 

“People’s safety comes first. It is UKRNAFTA’s highest priority. That is why the Company is doing everything it can to protect customers and staff from the consequences of Russian air attacks on civilian infrastructure,” said Bogdan Kukura, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Ukrnafta”.

 

The Company is also preparing additional safety measures, details of which will be announced at a later date.

 

UKRNAFTA would also like to remind customers that during an air-raid alert, regardless of the threat level, its gas stations close and both staff and customers must leave the site.

 

It is particularly important at present to pay close attention to air-raid alerts and follow these safety rules.
