The State Budget Received UAH 748 Million from the Operations of "Ukrnaftoburinnya" in 2023

PJSC "Ukrnafta" transferred to the budget UAH 748 million of dividends received from the activities of PrJSC "MC "Ukrnaftoburinnya", which is under state control, in 2013.

Thus, in May 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed to the proposal of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) to transfer the corporate rights of PrJSC "MC "Ukrnaftoburinnya" to PJSC "Ukrnafta". In July 2023, PJSC "Ukrnafta" appointed new management of PrJSC "MC "Ukrnaftoburinnya" and started managing the production company that developed the Sakhalin field.

This resulted in:

An increase in average daily gas production from 1.262 million cubic meters to 1.560 million cubic meters.

Increase in gas volumes in underground storage facilities from 74.6 million cubic meters in July to 159.3 million cubic meters in September and 243.8 million cubic meters by the end of 2023.

Increase in average daily hydrocarbon production (condensate, oil and gas condensate of light hydrocarbons) from 124 tonnes to 164 tonnes.

Increase in net profit of "Ukrnaftoburinnya": from January 1 to July 12, 2023, the company's profit amounted to UAH 186 million, and after the transfer to management from July 12 to December 31, 2023, the company made a profit of UAH 831 million.

All results were confirmed by the independent international auditor Crowe Erfolg.

At the same time, in November 2023, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal revoked the special production permit for the Sakhalin field at the request of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil.

PrJSC "MC "Ukrnaftoburinnya" has filed a lawsuit and is doing everything possible to resume gas production, as it is critically needed for the country to get through the next heating season. The case is currently under consideration.

At the same time, PJSC "Ukrnafta", together with the Asset Recovery and Management Agency and PrJSC "MC "Ukrnaftoburinnya", is taking the necessary measures to preserve the resource for the country.

In particular:

ARMA, together with PJSC "Ukrnafta", appealed to the National Security and Defense Council to resolve the issue of gas production at the Sakhalin field.

ARMA initiated amendments to the Subsoil Code of Ukraine to allow gas production at the Sakhalin field without a special permit during the war.

Representatives of PrJSC "MC "Ukrnaftoburinnya", PJSC "Ukrnafta", ARMA, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and the State Service of Geology and Subsoil met with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada on Environmental Policy and Natural Resources.

We urge everyone to support the legitimate demands of PrJSC "MC "Ukrnaftoburinnya" and resume production at the Sakhalin field.
