Shareholders Approve New Members of Ukrnafta’s Supervisory Board

The shareholder meeting of Ukrnafta approved the composition of the company’s Supervisory Board. The procedure was performed in strict compliance with all legal requirements and OECD guidelines on sustainable and responsible business conduct.

“The company has attracted 100 years of combined successful international technological and managerial experience in exploration, production, and refining,” said Sergii Koretskyi, CEO at UKRNAFTA.  “The experience of these people and their professional accomplishments speak for themselves. Members of the Supervisory Board of Ukrnafta PJSC:

Timothy Dodson, an independent member. Mr Dodson has over 40 years of international experience in geology and production. He served as chairman and board member of several British and Norwegian companies, including Ennox Technology, New European Offshore, and Sval Energi. Mr Dodson is a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company. From 1985 to 2021, he was employed by Equinor (formerly Statoil), working his way up from a well logger and geologist to Vice President of Strategy.

Ireneusz Fafara, an independent member. Mr Fafara has over 30 years of experience in finance and the oil industry. He was the CEO of ORLEN Lietuva, the largest oil refining company in the Baltic States (10 million tonnes of oil per year). He restructured the company, configured logistics processes, and increased wholesale sales. Mr Fafara made a valuable contribution to the successful development of the ORLEN Group.
Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of 4Cell Therapies S.A. (Poland), a member of the Board of Helix Biopharma Corporation (Canada), and a member of the Supervisory Board of Rockbridge (Poland).

Duncan Nightingale, an independent member. Mr Nightingale has over three decades of experience in developing and implementing strategies for oil production, storage, and transportation in conditions of extreme operational complexity. He is the CEO of Blacksteel Energy Inc. (Canada).

Liudmyla Darahan, a shareholder representative. Ms Darahan is the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. Previously, she was Chief Of Staff of the State Property Fund, before being promoted to Deputy Head of the Fund. Ms Darahan served as the State Secretary of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

Roza Tapanova, a shareholder representative. Ms Tapanova is a member of the Supervisory Board of Oschadbank. She is the Director General of the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve. Ms Tapanova has over 16 years of experience in law.
