UKRNAFTA installs concrete shelters at gas stations in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Such structures have already proven their effectiveness in the frontline regions. Now the largest network of gas stations in Ukraine is scaling up this solution to the capital region, which has recently been regularly subjected to Russian attacks. 

"People's safety is a top priority at a time when Russia is systematically attacking civilian targets that affect the daily life of cities and communities. First of all, we will equip 13 gas stations located in places with high population density and near large roads with shelters. Everyone who is nearby will be able to use them, said Bogdan Kukura, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Ukrnafta." - Last week, we also saw how the protection that is already installed in Kyiv works. Gabions at one of our gas stations withstood the impact. The explosion was localised, and there was no significant scattering of debris. This has helped reduce the risks to pedestrians and motorists nearby. As of today, 25 UKRNAFTA facilities in the capital region have already been equipped with gabions. We continue this work systematically and as quickly as possible."

We remind you of important rules of operation during air raid alerts. Ukrnafta gas stations stop working after a yellow or red alarm is announced, staff and customers leave the territory and move to a safe place. 

Please, carefully monitor the air raid alert signals, comply with requests from gas station employees, do not leave cars in parking lots, and do not stay on the territory longer than necessary for refuelling or shopping. 

UKRNAFTA repairs damaged facilities, strengthens their protection, and continues to work to provide people with the necessary fuel.
