Ukrnafta drilled its first well in 13 years at one of the Company’s youngest and most promising fields. In the coming years, the company plans 10 more new wells at the fields.
"We are actively working on one of the youngest fields of "Ukrnafta" discovered in 1990. Working conditions are extremely difficult. 1080 meters above sea level, mountainous terrain, absence of sufficient infrastructure, Director of PJSC "Ukrnafta" Sergii Koretskyi notes. The last time new facilities were built there was 2011. In 2024, for the first time since then, a new well was drilled, and hydraulic fracturing was performed in 3 intervals. This year, 2025, there will be 5 new wells, and another 5 will come in 2026. We operate with in-house fleet, as the market refused. It's too difficult. Therefore, we mobilised our rigs there."
At the same time, a large-scale infrastructure project is performed at the field. We expand pipeline capacity there since the existing infrastructure is unable to deliver the expected volume.
