The Supervisory Board of JSC “Ukrnafta.” comprising independent directors and the representatives of the shareholders, “Naftogaz of Ukraine” and the State represented by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, has approved Bohdan Kukura’s appointment as the Board Chairman of the Company after an open competitive selection.

“The open competition for the position of the Board Chairman of JSC “Ukrnafta”, started in August 2025, has been completed. Today, it is my pleasure to congratulate Bohdan Kukura and the entire Company on the victory of the strongest candidate following a fair, unbiased, and professional selection. Crucially, the selection was conducted transparently and in line with the OECD best international practices, demonstrating high standards of corporate governance at a state-owned enterprise. Additionally, an internationally branded executive search firm, Odgers, was engaged to support the recruitment process,” said Timothy Dodson, Chair of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Member of the Supervisory Board of JSC “Ukrnafta.”

Prior to his appointment, Bohdan Kukura was Production Director and Chief Engineer at JSC “Ukrnafta.” He is a highly experienced professional with many years of hands-on expertise in the petroleum industry. He has deep knowledge of the Company’s production processes and direct involvement in the development of oil and gas recovery operations.

Bohdan Kukura acquired a complete higher technical education as a mining engineer. He graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas; he has a degree in Oil and Gas Fields’ Development and Operation  and an MBA.

Throughout his professional career Mr. Kukura oil and gas fields’ design and development projects at industry leading companies, including Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Regal Petroleum and others. He co-authored several well-operation and production-equipment patents and technical solutions.

Bohdan Kukura brings more than 26 years of experience delivering technological and strategic projects in the petroleum industry.
