Unauthorized Oil Pipeline Connection Detected and Removed in Chernihiv Region

The Security Service of PJSC Ukrnafta recently uncovered an illicit connection to the Velyki Bubny-Talayivka oil pipeline located in the Talayivka district, Chernihiv region.
 
The unauthorized connection was constructed using a 5 cm high pipe equipped with a 1-inch diameter ball valve. This was linked to a high-pressure rubber hose, 30 meters in length and ¾ inch in diameter, which was found filled with oil. A ball valve of 1-inch diameter was installed at the terminal end of the hose.

Upon detection, officers from the Pryluky Department of the National Police in Chernihiv Oblast were alerted, and the crime was officially recorded. The illegal insert was subsequently removed.

The company is currently assessing the extent of the damages incurred due to this incident. In collaboration with the National Police, efforts are underway to identify the individuals responsible for this unlawful connection.
