JSC “Ukrnafta” holds first official supervisory board working meetings chaired by Timothy Dodson

The first official working meetings of the Supervisory Board of JSC “Ukrnafta”, chaired by Timothy Dodson, have taken place in Kyiv.

The Supervisory Board held a working session with the company’s Management Board, during which it acknowledged the team’s systematic efforts, positive momentum across key areas, and confirmed its support for the continued implementation of priority tasks and strengthened risk response.

“For a company of this scale, corporate governance is a key element of stability, predictability, and the confidence of investors and partners. The Supervisory Board is focused on ensuring a clear strategic direction, supporting management in challenging conditions, and ensuring compliance with international best practice,” said Timothy Dodson, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC “Ukrnafta”.

A key focus of the working meetings was ensuring the company’s stable operations during the war, responding to security and economic risks, and preserving Ukrnafta’s role as one of the market benchmarks.

The company continues to operate amid high uncertainty, sustained attacks and damage to critical infrastructure. Despite this, it is maintaining operational resilience and a predictable financial policy. In the current environment, the company is adjusting its financial and investment plans to reflect changes in the security situation and market conditions.

“Today, the company is operating under unprecedented challenges, both security-related and economic. Our task is to ensure operational continuity, preserve business resilience, and fulfil the role of a stabilising operator in the market. We are adapting our financial and investment planning to the new realities and strengthening management decisions in response to risks,” said Bogdan Kukura, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Ukrnafta”.

During the meetings in Kyiv, coordination also took place with Sergii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of Naftogaz Group, regarding the company’s current status, shareholder expectations, and further cooperation within the group.

“Effective coordination across the group is critically important today for ensuring the stability of the energy sector. Ukrnafta plays an important role in this process, both through its operations and as a market benchmark,” said Sergii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of Naftogaz Group.

The company emphasised that effective coordination between Ukrnafta and Naftogaz Group is an important prerequisite not only for business resilience, but also for Ukraine’s energy security.
