Ukrnafta acquired more than 1,210 km² of 3D seismic to plan drilling

Ukrnafta systematically conducts geological studies to plan drilling. In total, the Company has acquired more than 1,210 km² of 3D seismic in various regions of Ukraine.

“In 2024, 582 km² of the Company's licence areas were studied. In 2025, 629 km² will be studied, which is the largest 3D seismic survey scope per year, a record for the Company,” said Bogdan Kukura, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrnafta.” “We are consistently studying the licence areas to clearly understand the resources, plan drilling and other process operations."

In addition to surface 3D seismic acquisition, vertical seismic profiling (VSP) was acquired in 2024-2025 using the polarisation method in nine wells (three in 2024 and six in 2025).

This is a method in which seismic data is acquired in the wellbore, which allows for more accurate determination of the reservoir geological structure and reduces risks of new drilling planning.

In 2026, 3D seismic surveys are planned on four of the Company's special permits.
