PJSC Ukrnafta has resumed production at four fields in Sumy region. The company received mining permits for Anastasievske, Artyukhivske, Korzhivske and Lypovodolynske fields from the State Labor Service. Annual production from these fields amounts to about 240 thousand tons of oil and condensate and 130 million m3 of gas.
Within days, the gas supply to the settlements of Mali Bubny, Batsmany, Hryshyne and Loknya of Romny district of Sumy region will be resumed once the pressure at Artyukhivka gas distribution station has reached sufficient levels.
Ukrnafta is diligently working with the authorities to expedite the approval of the necessary documents for the remaining 5 fields and estimates that production may resume by mid November.
As a reminder, this year the Special Production Licenses at nine fields of the company have expired. Because of the late issuance of these licenses, Ukrnafta was forced to cease production operations, as a result of which the company lost about 90 thousand tons of oil and condensate and 70 million m3 of gas. In addition, Ukrnafta lost more than UAH 1,3 billion of income, and the state – almost UAH 430 million of tax revenues only from rental payments. There were no winners from the illegal actions of the State.
