Some Ukrainian media reported today that the tax debt of Ukrnafta as of July 1st is 15,3 bln UAH. Please note in clarification:

According to the Ukrnafta’s finance department and confirmed by earlier communications with the State Fiscal Services the real tax debt  as of July 1st  is 9,9 bln UAH using consistent methodology as previous reports. At the same time accrued reserves for potential fines and penalties which have been included in the 15,3 bln UAH figure cannot be counted as tax debt.

During January-July 2016 Ukrnafta already paid to the State Budget of Ukraine 3,8 bln UAH of different taxes and as it was recently reported by the State Fiscal Service is the 6th biggest tax payer in the first quarter 2016.  In 2016, the year after the change of management, Ukrnafta has increased the payment of taxes by almost five times. Increase tax amounts for the Q1, 2016 compared to the first Q1, 2015 in percentage is 471%.
