Ukrnafta completed a well workover at a depth of more than 4 km, with daily natural gas production rate of more than 60,000 cubic metres of gas.

The workover was carried out at the field located in the east of Ukraine, and was aimed at its further exploration.

To determine the current saturation of the reservoir formations, the Company’s specialists performed geophysical works.

Following the survey, the oilfield workers carried out perforation operations at a depth of 4,393-4,396 m to connect the well to the production horizon.

The discovered deposit has an area of 3.8 sq. km with a productive section thickness of up to 3.6 m.

“We have already completed the well development, which resulted in more than 60,000 cubic metres of natural gas and 40 tonnes of condensate per day,” Sergii Koretskyi, CEO at UKRNAFTA, says  “The well has now been put into pilot production to obtain additional data on the deposit, which contains preliminary explored reserves. They can be further used as commercial.”

The successful well workover increased hydrocarbon production and confirmed the importance of further exploration of existing fields.
