Ukrnafta Unveils Carbon Capture and Storage Project at European Exhibition

For the first time in its storied history, Ukrnafta showcased its innovative technologies at the premier annual European oil and gas exhibition, EAGE 2024, held in Oslo from June 10 to 13.

Regarded as one of Europe’s most comprehensive multidisciplinary geoscience events, the exhibition encompassed a conference, seminars, and other specialized activities focused on oil and gas production, as well as the latest eco-friendly technologies for the oil industry.

The Ukrnafta delegation engaged in a series of bilateral discussions with manufacturers and service providers specializing in geochemistry, hydrogeophysics, oil system and reservoir analysis, decarbonization, and the transition to green energy.

Ukrnafta introduced a pioneering project on carbon capture and storage to the European community, a crucial initiative for meeting climate objectives and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition, the team collaborated with strategic companies such as Chevron, Equinor, ExxonMobil, Eni, Inova, Sercel, SLB, Halliburton, and Geopartner Landinspektører A/S on partnership projects aimed at boosting hydrocarbon production. This collaboration not only strengthened existing relationships but also paved the way for future cooperative opportunities.

Ukrnafta’s active participation in EAGE-2024 marked a significant stride in forging connections with the global oil and gas community, sharing expertise, and cultivating new partnerships.
