In 2015, Ukrnafta PJSC invested about 43 million UAH to improve its working conditions. The company used those funds to purchase protective workwear and footwear for its employees, as well as conduct complex measures to improve safety at the workplace. Ukrnafta continuously works on improving its labour protection system. In particular, the company is currently introducing a new system for reporting and analysing accidents’ circumstances, which allows to detect trouble spots quickly and prevent further accidents. It is worth noting that the volume of Ukrnafta’s investments into ensuring decent labour conditions for its employees is five times higher than the norm set by the Law of Ukraine “On Labour Protection”. According to this document, a company must allocate 0.5% of its payroll budget for the previous year for such purposes, while “Ukrnafta” has invested about 2.5%.
