Modern Oil Dynamics Pumps Now Operational in 29 Wells

Ukrnafta has successfully installed 29 state-of-the-art Oil Dynamics electric centrifugal pumps in its wells. By the close of the year, the count of wells fitted with this new API-standard equipment, including those already equipped, is projected to exceed 150.

“Electric centrifugal pumps (ECPs) play a pivotal role in stabilizing field production. They deliver the rated capacity and head, and compared to other types of downhole pumps, they extend the overhaul period,” Sergii Koretskyi, CEO at UKRNAFTA, stated.

These German-engineered pumps are paired with Ukrainian frequency control stations. To ensure seamless compatibility, modifications have been made to the software.

The equipment is remotely managed by operators and engineers, who utilize special operating modes and adjust the plant’s frequency as needed.

In addition, an automated remote well monitoring system is employed to keep track of all essential parameters: pressure, temperature, motor load percentage, currents, insulation resistance, and submerged equipment vibration.

It’s worth noting that in 2023, PJSC “Ukrnafta” signed a memorandum with The American Petroleum Institute to incorporate new international standards into the company’s operations. The replacement of outdated Russian equipment with modern, world-class models forms a key part of the company’s renewal strategy.
