Ukrnafta resumes drilling of horizontal well No. 535 at Buhruvativske oil field in Sumy oblast. Well commissioning is expected by the end of Q4 2016 with initial production estimated at 60 tons per day. Previously, drilling was stopped due to lack of financing.
Mark Rollins, Chairman of the Executive Board of Ukrnafta:
“Drilling new wells is investing into the future of our company. We are just taking the first steps on the path of reforms, and we will keep striving for company success and stability of oil and gas production in Ukraine”.
Additionally, drilling will be resumed in very near future in well No. 101 Verhniomaslovetske field (L’viv oblast) with expected initial production at 47 tons per day. The well will be commissioned in late 2016.
As a reminder, PJSC Ukrnafta plans to grow production volumes in existing wells by optimizing existing artificial lift completions by either deeping or purchasing new, higher capacity ESP systems to maximize each well’s potential.
