Management Board members meet with representatives of trade unions to discuss plans for Ukrnafta

Today Ukrnafta’s Chairman along with other members of the company management met with the trade unions to share some of the future plans for the company and receive input from the trade union leaders. One of the major issues on the agenda was discussing and reviewing the conditions of the current collective labour agreement, for which a commission has already been formed. It is a mutual opinion of the unions and the management that the existing collective labour agreement is outdated, and not fitting the purposes of the company. Therefore it has been decided to work towards a new agreement that will better address the outstanding concerns of both parties, including the current working conditions of the employees, remuneration policy, and approach to restructuring of the company.

It is expected that the new collective labour agreement will be based on international norms and standards which should ensure the best results for all stakeholders.

«It is important to have a collective labour agreement that is flexible in these difficult times of low commodity prices. We will discuss the best way to structure the company in order to face current challenges, while ensuring a bright future for both our employees and shareholders», said Mark Rollins.

It was also agreed to hold regular meetings with trade unions every month to exchange ideas and work in a cooperative way to jointly develop Ukrnafta.
