PJSC “Ukrnafta” proudly announces the successful launch of a high-flow oil well in Western Ukraine, boasting an impressive output of 54 tons of oil daily.
The drilling operations were expertly executed by Navigator-Komplekt LLC, a trusted partner chosen through a competitive Prozorro tender. This well marks the first in a series of three that the contractor is slated to construct.
Originally designed as an exploratory well, the facility aimed to uncover deposits of Stryian sediments nestled more than 1.2 kilometers beneath the surface.
Upon completion of the drilling process, acid hydraulic fracturing was employed as a secondary fracturing technique of the formation. Empirical studies and practical experience in this specialized field have demonstrated that such procedures significantly boost production levels. The workover operations were seamlessly handled by Ukrnafta’s in-house service unit.
“The outcome has far exceeded our expectations: the well’s flow rate has soared to 54 tons per day, a figure more than double the initial projection of 22.6 tons per day. Consequently, Ukrnafta has not only gained a high-flow well but also acquired a valuable technique to enhance production at specific fields. The acid hydraulic fracturing of the formation have been incorporated into the investment projects for the construction of all wells at this field,” Sergii Koretskyi, CEO at UKRNAFTA, stated in his Facebook post.
This development paves the way for the effective utilization of available resources to augment production.
