Ukrnafta is building its new wells both with its own drilling rigs and by engaging contractors with relevant experience.

"Currently, a drilling rig from our partners at LLC DC Horizons is being assembled through a transparent tender process. Initially, this equipment will be used to drill well no. 32, followed by no. 34 at the Verkhniomaslovetske field," noted Sergii Koretskyi, CEO at UKRNAFTA.

The purpose of well no. 32 is the exploration of the Stryi formations.

Then, depending on the geological results of this well, well no. 34 will be drilled deeper, reaching the Menilite formations.

Next, another well no. 33, will be aligned with Striy formations as well, but a different drilling rig will be used for this purpose.

The company's own drilling rigs are also occupied: two are working on new wells in the east and west, while another will drill a lateral well, effectively creating a new well within an existing one, in the northern part of Ukraine.
