Ukrnafta Successfully Detects and Eliminates Unauthorized Pipeline Connection in Sumy Region

Ukrnafta’s vigilant security service has successfully detected and eliminated an unauthorized connection to the Velyki Bubny-Talayayivka oil pipeline located in the Romny Raion of the Sumy Oblast.

The illegal connection was ingeniously crafted using a 5 cm high pipe with a 1.5 inch diameter ball valve. This was further connected to a rubber hose and a plastic pipe, spanning a total length of 240 meters. Interestingly, the rubber drainage hose was discreetly laid beneath the railroad tracks.

Upon detection, officers from the Romny Department of the National Police in Sumy Oblast were alerted and the crime was officially recorded. The illegal insert was subsequently removed.

Ukrnafta is currently in the process of assessing the damages incurred due to this unauthorized activity. In the meantime, the National Police is actively collaborating with the company to identify the perpetrators behind this illegal operation.
