PJSC Ukrnafta is a participant of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Ukraine.
On 21 February the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and the National EITI Secretariat published the second EITI Report for Ukraine covering the period of 2014-2015. The EITI report provides the overview of Ukraine’s extractive industries, the regulatory and fiscal oversight, information about the procedures for granting licenses and other information related to use of natural resources.
In particular, the report discloses data on taxes and other payments received by the state from the extractive companies in 2014-2015. In 2014, the share of oil and gas industry (including transportation of oil and gas) in the government revenues amounted to UAH 37.8 bln, or 65.2% of the total government revenues from the extractive industries. In 2015, the aggregate revenues from the oil and gas industry reached UAH 70.4 bln UAH or 76.1% of the total. This increase is attributed mainly to the increase in the rent rates.
The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative is a global independent voluntary standard to ensure transparency of revenues of a state from natural resources. The governance and control over the EITI implementation in a given country are executed by a Multi-Stakeholder Group, which includes representatives of the government, business and civil society. The EITI National Secretariat in Ukraine is responsible for coordination of EIT implementation in the country.
