Preparations are underway for drilling two wells no. 32 and no. 34, at the Verkhniomaslovetske oil field in the Lviv region.

Both wells are planned as slant-drilling and exploratory-production wells.

"An experienced contractor for work in western Ukraine, LLC Drilling Company Horizons, was selected through a transparent procurement procedure to construct these facilities for Ukrnafta," noted Sergii Koretskyi, CEO at UKRNAFTA. "The work is performed on a turnkey basis."

Well no. 32 is intended to explore the Stryi formations. According to the constructed digital 3D geological and hydrodynamic model of the field, the current recoverable oil reserves for the productive horizons of the Stryi suite amount to 1.121 million tons. The well's depth is 1,250 meters, and the initial oil production rate is expected to be 42.5 tons per day.

Well no. 34 will be drilled deeper into the Menilite formations. Currently recoverable oil reserves for the productive horizons of the Menilite world amount to 464,000 tons. After depleting the Menilite reserves with this well, it will be converted to the overlying Stryi formation horizons. The well's depth is 1,550 meters, and the initial production rate is 30.1 tons a day.

The company's own rigs are used at other sites, such as drilling wells no. 105 in the west and no. 150 in the east of Ukraine.
