PJSC Ukrnafta is increasing the number of new wells it drills. “This year we are already drilling 9, and next year we plan to deal with 30. The plan for 2025 is 50-60,” said Sergii Koretskyi, CEO at UKRNAFTA, in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.
The Company will also intensify existing wells and restore abandoned wells using new technologies. Ukrnafta has more than 5,000 such wells. We are currently exploring them and plan to identify at least 10% that are promising and cost-efficient to restore,” Mr. Koretskyi says.
Ukrainian and foreign contractors will be involved in the processes. According to Ukrnafta’s CEO, some foreign companies are already considering cooperation both in the west and east of Ukraine.
Mr. Koretskyi emphasises that production is the backbone of Ukrnafta. It is important for Ukraine’s energy security and has great prospects in Ukraine.
