Security personnel from the Chernihiv Oilfield District discovered an unauthorized connection during a search for illicit interference with the operation of the Yaroshivske and Petrushivske oil pipelines. The illegal connection was found on the discharge line of well No. 9 “Petrushivka”, near the village of Ukrainske in the Chernihiv region. The connection was made using a 5 cm high spigot welded to the pipeline, to which a 2-inch diameter ball valve was attached with a 2-inch diameter rubber hose.

Upon discovery, the information was promptly reported to the relevant units of the National Police, whose officers arrived at the site of the unauthorized connection. The illegal connection was subsequently removed.

The investigation into the extent of damages caused to the company and the identification of those responsible for the illegal tampering is currently underway.
