Ukrnafta improves working conditions for employees by purchasing new, comfortable buses.
Therefore, Ukrnafta procured 12 special-purpose Temsa buses from the successful bidder, Auto-Region LLC, through an open tender. These are reliable Turkish vehicles featuring Japanese engines and boasting a 20% localization rate in Ukraine.
The company's specialists considered the operating experience of the existing buses, the conditions under which they will operate, their quantity and delivery timeline. A galvanized body was necessary to prolong the service life (at least 10 years) and a Euro 6 engine was chosen, considering the buses usage, including operations in nature reserves.
Buses are an important element of the operations of a company like Ukrnafta, facilitating transportation for employees working in shifts and commuting to field locations. On average, a company needs to transport 4500 to 5000 employees per shift.
Ukrnafta's transport department currently owns 275 buses, with 213 currently in operation. Everyone is involved in the transportation of employees to their workplaces along designated routes - both those on shift rotations and those with one-time requests.
The latest additions to Ukrnafta's fleet, 6 Etalon buses, were purchased in 2021. The main part of the fleet is PAZ, LAZ, Ikarus, KAVZ, SARZ, LiAZ. These vehicles have an average age of over 30 years. Some of them are approximately 50 years old. No spare parts are available for them, and the machines are technically and morally outdated.
New buses, each accommodating 29 passengers, were delivered to all regional divisions at the end of 2023.
It is also planned to purchase 28 buses in the first quarter of 2024 through the leasing procedure.
