The global trend towards green energy continues to develop, but the oil and gas industry will remain the main supplier of fuel for the next 10 years. The challenges facing the industry are decarbonization, technology development, human resources, and the need to implement the best global practices in oil and gas production. 

These are the topics being discussed today by scientists, experts and partners from the largest energy companies in Ukraine at the VII KYIV OIL & GAS CONFERENCE of the Newfolk NCC. 

Ukrnafta is facing the same challenges. 

"We are currently working intensively on the program of transition to API standards and on the purchase of equipment, including imported equipment. Negotiations with Baker Hughes are at the final stage. We are also working on training our staff at our bases in Ukraine and abroad," says Bohdan Kukura, Deputy CEO, Chief Engineer of PJSC "Ukrnafta". 

At the same time, people are behind the technology. Globally, the need for industry specialists is estimated at more than 120 thousand employees. The Ukrainian energy sector also needs new specialists. This year, Ukrnafta is once again introducing scholarship programs for the best students of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. Developing human resources is something that companies should invest in.
