Andrii Bohovichenko, Head of Okhtyrkanaftogaz Oil & Gas Production Division, was awarded the Order of Courage, III class.

During the massive shelling of Okhtyrka at the beginning of the invasion, Andrii took responsibility for the team and the production process. Operators and specialists, including volunteers, worked under his round-the-clock supervision.

“On the first day of the full-fledged war, I went to work. Our facilities are not far from Okhtyrka, and we could clearly hear the explosions, which are always frightening at an enterprise of such kind. We had to stop production at the wells: some of them manually, some by cutting off the power supply,” Andrii recalls.

Due to the courageous actions of Andrii and his team, production was quickly and safely resumed and the country’s much-needed hydrocarbons continued to be extracted.
