The Corporate Side by Side Program, launched by PJSC "Ukrnafta" a year ago, has become a comprehensive initiative to support the mobilised, veterans and their families. The Program helps the defenders adapt to a peaceful life and feel supported both during their service and after their return.
To-date, 944 employees of the Company serve in the Defence Forces of Ukraine, and 503 veterans have already been employed by PJSC "Ukrnafta."
During the year of the Program, five key areas of support were implemented:
- care of the mobilised employees: maintaining jobs, paying wages, constant communication, providing equipment, machinery, and ammunition.
- Support for the Company's veterans: providing material, legal, and psychological assistance, and additional leaves.
- Assistance to the families of the deceased employees: one-time financial payments, covering the cost of burial and material support for the children of the victims on holidays.
- Work with the Company's team: training for managers, paramedical training, charity initiatives, and corporate culture of veterans' support.
- Employment of veterans: cooperation with employment centres, in-house training programs (900 training events), support for re-training, and recruiting veterans (169 external veterans joined the team).
The Company pays special attention to honouring the memory of the fallen defenders. In the framework of the program, a daily Minute of Silence was introduced, a memorial to the fallen employees of Ukrnafta was designed, and 20 memorial plaques were installed.
"Side-by-Side means thousands of small and big steps that support our colleagues, the military personnel, the veterans, and their families," Sergii Koretskyi, Director of PJSC "Ukrnafta" said.
The Company is also working on expanding training programs for veterans, preparing cooperation with government agencies, international partners, and comprehensive physical and psychological rehabilitation programs.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Company has allocated UAH 503 million for various types of assistance:
- UAH445 million to the mobilised employees.
- UAH35 million for the purchase of everything necessary for military units where our colleagues serve.
- UAH13 million to the families of the fallen.
- UAH5 million to the injured mobilised.
- UAH5 million to support veterans.
PJSC "Ukrnafta" will continue its support to the military personnel, veterans, and their families, implementing long-term initiatives aimed at their adaptation and social integration.
