Mark Rollins
Mark Rollins Chairman of the Executive Board

Mark Rollins joined Ukrnafta as the Chairman of the Executive Board in September 2015. He has over 25 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked for several global energy companies.

Mr Rollins started his career with Shell, where in the early 1990’s he engaged in business development and worked primarily on projects in the former Soviet Union, including the Sakhalin II project in eastern Russia and several ventures in the North Caspian. Starting from 1996 he held key commercial and strategy positions in both the upstream and downstream sectors with Clyde Petroleum of the UK, and the integrated major oil and gas company ARCO, based in the United States. After the merger of ARCO with BP in 2000, he moved to the deregulated gas and power sector for a number of years working to restructure the business of Nuon, one of the major utilities in the Netherlands. Mr Rollins was also Chief Executive and board member of a private equity-backed exploration and production company with operations in South America from 2004 to 2008. In 2008 Mark Rollins joined BG Group as Senior Vice President for Growth in Europe and Central Asia, responsible for the company’s commercial and business development activities in the region. In 2010 he became Senior Vice President of BG Group for Central Asia, and managed BG Group’s main operations in the region from the main office in Astana. Following this he returned to the BG Group head office in the UK as part of the senior leadership of the global upstream organization.

On July 22, 2015, at the meeting of Ukrnafta’s shareholders, Mark Rollins was elected to be its new Chairman of the Executive Board. He assumed the office on September 29. Mark was awarded a DPhil in Engineering Science by Oxford University in 1989 and a MA in Mathematics by Cambridge University in 1985. Mr Rollins is a UK citizen, married and has three children.

Iryna Yevets
Iryna Yevets Member of the Executive Board, Chief Financial Officer

Iryna Yevets is a professional expert in finance with over 20 years of practical experience, gained at leading Ukrainian companies. Before joining Ukrnafta in December 2015, Mrs Yevets was a Chief Financial Officer at MTS Ukraine (TM Vodafone) from 2011 till 2015. Prior to that, in 2009-2011 Iryna worked at Rosinka company (Orangina Schweppes Group Ukraine up to August 2010) first as a CFO and then as a General Manager. Earlier, she was holding key senior positions at Ukrproduct Group for 7 years. In 1993-2001, prior to her career in Ukrproduct Group, Mrs Yevets was managing an auditing firm AuditJurUslugi in Lviv, Ukraine.

Iryna is a cum laude alumnus from Lviv Forest Engineering University with a major in economics and an EMBA graduate from Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus University in the Netherlands. She is also a certified accountant  (CAP, International Council of Certified Accountants and Auditors).

Jonathan Popper
Jonathan Popper Member of the Executive Board, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy

In December 2015, Jonathan Popper, an experienced oil industry profession and economist, joined Ukrnafta as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy and a member of the Executive Board. He will be responsible for strategy, planning and business development activities.

Most of his 28-year long career in the oil and gas industry was spent in the international oil and gas major BP, but he also spent some years in Petrofac, a leading service company to the industry. Most of his career in the industry was in the field of Business Development, and since 1998 he has been heavily involved in projects across the CIS including leadership roles in major projects in Siberia and Kazakhstan. He also led the Upstream Merger Integration Team establishing TNK-BP in Moscow, and has significant experience in Algeria and Colombia. From 2004 to 2010 he was Performance Unit Leader and President of BP Central Asia.

From 2011 to 2015 he was Vice President for Business Development and Negotiations in Petrofac Integrated Energy Services, focusing on projects in CIS.

Jonathan is a UK citizen and an alumnus of Cambridge University and the University of Wales, and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics.

Mavriky Kalugin
Mavriky Kalugin Member of the Executive Board, Executive Vice President for Upstream

Mr. Mavriky Kalugin, is a career oilman with extensive international experience in brownfield and greenfield developments, field management, IOR/EOR projects, technical operations, and general management.  In February 2016, Mr. Kalugin accepted the position of the Executive Vice President Upstream and a member of the Executive Board of Ukrnafta.  Prior to joining Ukrnafta, Mr. Kalugin served as the Country Manager for Petrofac - Romania.  Previously, Mr. Kalugin held senior technical and operating positions with Petrofac Integrated Energy Services – Russia, Cairn India, TNK-BP, Occidental, ConocoPhillips, and ARCO, Alaska.

Mr. Kalugin holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho, is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and a fluent Russian speaker.
